Advanced Executive Healthcare Leadership

Five Days Course and Visit
14-18 July 2025

Organised by WASD Sustainability Academy and hosted by Imperial College London and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust with world-class expertise
London - United Kingdom

Today’s healthcare professionals have to do much more than practice medicine - they must also be adept in business, in financial and operational management, and they must understand the rapidly evolving regulatory environment.

This course is a unique opportunity to meet high profile successful leaders working in the National Health Service (NHS) in the United Kingdom, private healthcare providers, medical industry leaders and academic leaders from Imperial College, London and WASD.

The course offers a chance to gain insights into their leadership roles in practice and how they meet challenges, through a dialogue which will streamline and support participants’ own approaches to leadership in healthcare. During the course, you will also learn about how artificial intelligence and digital innovations can improve the efficiency, quality, and safety of healthcare services.

Designed to showcase a variety of perspectives on advanced leadership skills for healthcare professionals, the course will empower healthcare leaders and decision-makers to introduce fit-for-purpose advanced leadership skills, styles and approaches to their organisations.

This course will help advance women leaders within their organisations, and help organisations develop their women leaders. It will show the benefit in embracing such an approach, which benefits both women and their organisations, by delivering evidence-based strategies, skills development and education that help women at various stages of their healthcare careers step into and succeed in leadership positions.

At the end of the course attendees should have gained comprehensive knowledge about advanced leadership approaches to deploy in response to the challenges facing the healthcare sector and should be positioned to implement relevant scientific and management solutions effectively in their organisations.
